Strong Finish for Larry Doyle in Rally Barbados Comeback

Rotospiral MD Larry Doyle’s international rallying return concluded with a solid finish at Rally Barbados. Driving the Group N Roto Spiral Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII alongside co-driver Tommy Doyle, Larry completed the event in 38th place overall.

In a field of seasoned drivers and purpose-built machines, Doyle’s +13:05.12 stage time underscored both the pace of the rally and the challenge it posed. But for Larry, the experience went far beyond timesheets.

“Rally Barbados was exactly what I’d hoped for – tough stages, warm weather, brilliant people, and a rally atmosphere that’s second to none,” he said after the finish.

The Evo VII, carrying Roto Spiral branding, ran reliably throughout the event, something Larry credited to careful preparation and support both at home and on the island. It was also a proud moment for the Roto Spiral team and their wider community supporters, with plenty of local interest in his progress throughout the weekend.

While he may not have been chasing silverware, Larry’s presence in Barbados shows the rewards of rallying purely for the love of the sport. And with this international outing under his belt, he remains open to further events in the future.
“The car’s back in one piece, and so are we. That’s a win in my book.”
