Rotospiral’s Larry Doyle Shaves for a Stunning €23,021 Charity Win!
Rotospiral Managing Director, Larry Doyle, has exceeded all expectations in his incredible fundraising effort for Men’s Aid, Teac Tom, and local Men’s Sheds. Larry’s ambitious goal was to raise €10,000 by growing his hair and beard until December, then bravely having them shaved off at a fundraising event. The final total? A staggering €23,021!
The event, held on December 7th at The Jerpoint in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, was a resounding success. In addition to the head and beard shave, Larry also bravely underwent chest and back waxing – ouch.
The funds raised will make a significant impact on the lives of men facing mental health challenges. Teac Tom, a vital mental health support and suicide intervention service with no government funding, relies on community support to continue its life-saving work. Similarly, Men’s Aid Ireland provides confidential support to male victims of domestic violence and coercive control, ensuring they have access to the help they need. The local Men’s Sheds also benefit, providing crucial community support and combating social isolation.
Larry’s personal motivation stemmed from witnessing the profound impact of mental health issues on friends, colleagues, and clients. He shared:
“Throughout my years in business, I’ve witnessed firsthand the profound impact mental health issues have had… Having faced my own challenges and seen how underfunded and overstretched services have become, I feel driven to try to make a difference. I hope the funds raised… will directly support men who are struggling.”
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible achievement. The €23,021 raised will make a real difference in the lives of many.
